A few weeks ago I was sitting at home browsing Facebook, and on my favorite radio stations page it said they would be giving Keane tickets away at 2 o'clock. I had known for months that they were coming to Utah and I debated for months weather or not to spend the money to go. I am a huge Keane fan let's get that straight, it's just that we are budgeting for only necessities especially during the summer. So when I checked that the give a way would be at 2, it was 1:55 I told Don that I was going to sit in the car and 'try' and win the tickets. As I walked out I said "probably not going to win".
Yeah, I won.
It was 1:59 the song playing was almost finished so I dialed and got a ring tone, which never happens during a contest. The dj said now its time for movie trivia (I thought oh crap, not going to get this right!) he played a clip from the old 'Planes, Trains, and Automobiles' which I'd never seen. BUT I had seen the John Candy/ Steve Martin version and the guy playing John Candy's part sounded the same and they were talking about trying to catch a cab in NYC yada, yada, yada. I put two and two together and guessed right! Yay I won Keane sound check/ meet and greet passes and concert tickets!!! Don came out right after I got off the phone and I told him I won, he said "yeah right". I turned up the radio and my voice was on air, haha. The only challenge was getting babysitter's for Carter. Don had school and work that night, I worked that morning; grandma watched him in the morning but then she had to leave for her activity day camp the rest of the day. So grandpa came home early from work and watched Carter the rest of the night. I couldn't of went without all of their great help! I asked Jordan, my sister to go along we went to their concert back in 2005 their first time in Utah! So it was fitting to go with her, she was stoked let me tell you, but then again so was I...

Very gracious, polite and nice band! I was a little worried they would have attitude, they are awesome!
Mad piano skills he has.
And this is what I looked like the entire time: huge dork...
Oh Tom... sing to me.
During our sound check they played us 2 songs: 'Silenced by the Night' and 'Somewhere only we know'. They are incredible live for the record, incredible.
During the concert
I do have a proper picture of us standing with the band, but it was taken by the radio stations photographer and is copyrighted. Loved em' perfect night, perfect opportunity!
The week after Keane Don and I had 2nd row seats to the Beach Boys/ Stadium of Fire (which I 'bumped' into Mike Love- lead singer on the way to the bathroom-crazy!) Pretty awesome summer for staying at home so far.
