Mckenna Martha Harrison
Our baby girl who we anxiously waited for graced us with her presence on May 24th 2013. We just love her! We worried about how big brother was going to receive her, he loved her and STILL adores her. He really is a sweet, caring big brother. He is so sweet with her and helpful.

She is a good girl, we get glimpses of her feisty personality every so often, but she is a doll and is super sweet.

Oh goodness, it has been awhile hasn't it? Well my last post after my Timp Hike post I became pregnant!!! Yes, we were trying and after taking two years to conceive Carter it was first times the charm with our little girl due in May! We're pretty darn excited and time has surely flown by. Of course nothing is ready at all in her room (it is currently stacked full boxes & random electronics). We have purchased for her TWO things, yes only 2. Haha, its getting crunch time isn't it? We'll get it done before Im sure. She is due May 27th, Memorial Day and as of tomorrow I will be 31 weeks along, its getting close!!! Carter knows something is going on we talk about it all the time and he can see that mommy has a big 'baby' belly, but he'll still be in a bit of a shock when there's an actual tiny, wiggly, crying baby coming home. He is going to be a great big brother I already know it, he is a super nice and sensitive boy. On a happy mom note, I passed my 3 hour glucose tolerance  test last Friday, YAY! I don't have to give up chocolate my 3rd term! The test was still miserable, especially the first hour after downing the nasty drink. I came very close to fainting. Lame. At least I passed... Any who here in NO particular order are some 'recent' pictures.
These two were taken last summer 2012
On one of our excursions up all around Northeastern Utah & into Wyoming
First snow of the winter
LOVES to play on Mommy's bus
One stormy afternoon in the beginning of the 12-13 school year
 Christmastime!!! Christmas sleeper's are awesome.
Picking out our Christmas tree, we got a real one this year, yay!

This kid is a car nut, big time always wants to play in the car.

Timp Hike

I did it! Here are some photo's from the hike. We took the Aspen Trail, the other trail was closed and boy was it crowded!

Squaw Peak Mountain HIke

I did this hike one Saturday morning, its a nice 4 hour hike and gain in elevation. Its up Rock Canyon and I never knew of this trail head. It was beautiful we saw lots of wild turkeys and deer.

Battle Creek Falls

One thing I wanted to do this summer was to hike Timp. So along with my awesome neighbor Heidi we did a few 'warm up' hikes before. Battle Creek is an a pretty cool name, I was born in a town called Battle Creek. I took along the wool-uf Koda, it was a pretty neat little hike.

Carter's trip to the zoo

We went to the zoo back in July. (I will be playing catch up over whats been going on the last couple of months!) Carter has technically been to the zoo for zoo lights last December but he was tiny and it was really cold! He loved it this time! It really made an impression on him, especially the elephants! They were spraying the baby and two adult elephants down with water (it was really hot that day). The baby elephant really stole the show though, playing, rolling around. After going to the zoo his new favorite movie is Dumbo, still is one of his favorites.
Grandma and Grandpa came too, of course everybody needs a 'excuse' to go to the zoo.
Most of the animals were laying in the shade sleeping, because it was so hot!
Here's the tiger right up against the window, you could of almost missed him if it weren't for the crowd of people standing at the window.
We went on the train ride (lame...) and Carter loved playing in the playground area I forget what it was called.
I look forward to many more trips there. Oh and we saw the new polar bear exhibit, one bear was doing laps in the water right next to the window, back and forth. It was awesome.

Keane!

A few weeks ago I was sitting at home browsing Facebook, and on my favorite radio stations page it said they would be giving Keane tickets away at 2 o'clock. I had known for months that they were coming to Utah and I debated for months weather or not to spend the money to go. I am a huge Keane fan let's get that straight, it's just that we are budgeting for only necessities especially during the summer. So when I checked that the give a way would be at 2, it was 1:55 I told Don that I was going to sit in the car and 'try' and win the tickets. As I walked out I said "probably not going to win".
Yeah, I won.
It was 1:59 the song playing was almost finished so I dialed and got a ring tone, which never happens during a contest. The dj said now its time for movie trivia (I thought oh crap, not going to get this right!) he played a clip from the old 'Planes, Trains, and Automobiles' which I'd never seen. BUT I had seen the John Candy/ Steve Martin version and the guy playing John Candy's part sounded the same and they were talking about trying to catch a cab in NYC yada, yada, yada. I put two and two together and guessed right! Yay I won Keane sound check/ meet and greet passes and concert tickets!!! Don came out right after I got off the phone and I told him I won, he said "yeah right". I turned up the radio and my voice was on air, haha. The only challenge was getting babysitter's for Carter. Don had school and work that night, I worked that morning; grandma watched him in the morning but then she had to leave for her activity day camp the rest of the day. So grandpa came home early from work and watched Carter the rest of the night. I couldn't of went without all of their great help! I asked Jordan, my sister to go along we went to their concert back in 2005 their first time in Utah! So it was fitting to go with her, she was stoked let me tell you, but then again so was I...

Very gracious, polite and nice band! I was a little worried they would have attitude, they are awesome!

Mad piano skills he has.
And this is what I looked like the entire time: huge dork...

Oh Tom... sing to me.

During our sound check they played us 2 songs: 'Silenced by the Night' and 'Somewhere only we know'. They are incredible live for the record, incredible.

During the concert

I do have a proper picture of us standing with the band, but it was taken by the radio stations photographer and is copyrighted. Loved em' perfect night, perfect opportunity!
The week after Keane Don and I had 2nd row seats to the Beach Boys/ Stadium of Fire (which I 'bumped' into Mike Love- lead singer on the way to the bathroom-crazy!) Pretty awesome summer for staying at home so far.
